Gig goer describes moment Michael McIntyre storms off stage
Fans of comedian Michael McIntyre have been describing the moment he'd had enough of a noisy fan - and stormed off stage.
He was performing at Darlington's Civic Theatre when he spotted the woman in the front row using her mobile phone.
Danny Wragg, who was sitting two seats away, told the ITV News website: 'He did what all good comedians do and worked with it, making jokes and not embarrassing her but making people and herself aware that she was being rude and loud.'
When she carried on he continued: ' Excuse me, am I interrupting your talk?' to which she shouted back, 'Yes, I am talking to my niece'.
Mr Wragg said she went on to say to the comedian ,' Continue' and then, 'This is my show... not yours.'
The star then told a security guard, 'Sort it out. I'll be back.'
He walked off while theatre staff spoke to her and some members of the audience chanted for her removal. He then returned to complete his set a few minutes later.
Michael McIntyre has so far not responded to an ITV News request for comment.
