Ryanair has apologised to passengers after two of its aircraft clipped each other while taxiing towards the runway.

It is the second time in less than four months that the airline's planes have been involved in collisions while on the ground.

The latest happened today at Dublin Airport as the aircraft, which were heading to Brussels Charleroi and Edinburgh, were slowly moving to the runway.

The airline said no-one on board was injured and the flight schedule quickly returned to normal.

Passengers were moved onto replacement planes.

Passengers began tweeting photos of the damage to the planes which could be seen from the windows.
