Police facing questions over Alice Gross suspect search
By Sejal Karia: ITV News Reporter
The body that was found in a West London park yesterday, thought to be that of Arnis Zalkalns, will now be subject to a post-mortem examination to formally establish a cause of death. It also has to be formally identified.
Meanwhile the post-mortem examination on Alice Gross' body is due to resume tomorrow.
Initial assessments failed to establish exactly how she died.
The police say their investigations to establish the full circumstances surrounding her murder will continue.
Her white iPhone 4S is still missing and they still have to find any evidence that may link Arnis Zalkalns to her killing.
But tonight questions still remain as to why it took police so long to find the body of her suspected killer, especially if he died weeks ago.
