The worst places in the country for under-18s caught drink driving

This is a table, by police force, of the statistics regarding under-18s, and including those under 16, who have been apprehended for drinking and driving in the period 2008 to 2013.

It is based on figures supplied by 43 police forces following a Freedom of Information Act request by in-car camera provider Nextbase.

  • Scotland Police: 718 arrests of under-18s, 208 arrests of under-16s, youngest offender 12 years old

  • Northern Ireland: 412, 131, 15 years old

  • Greater Manchester: 409, 144, 12 years old
