Does the iPhone 6 bend in your pocket?
People queued for days to be the first to get their hands on the new iPhone 6 Plus. But it seems Apple may have overlooked a "glitch" in their latest handset.
Owners of the new device, which only went on sale last Friday, took to social media claiming the smartphone had "bent" in their pocket.
The issue appeared to affect so many people the hashtag #bendgate even started trending on Twitter.
One unhappy user claimed his phone was bent during a day of "dancing, dining and driving" after being in his pocket for 18 hours.
He posted this picture saying: "Maybe at 5.5" it is too thin?"
While another user posted a picture of his friend's iPhone which had curved to the shape of his leg.
"Put it his front pocket and it was like this when he took it out after getting out the car," he said.
Others posted pictures on Twitter appearing to show the device bending slightly at the top.
The criticism led to some people questioning the tightness of the trousers people are wearing.
One user joked: "I hope this finally ends the skinny jeans madness."
Apple have yet to respond to the reports but some users claimed it had been a problem with other iPhone models in the past and they had apparently been advised not to keep them in their pockets.
YouTube video maker Lewis Hilsenteger decided to put the "bend gate" claim to the test and it appeared to be true.
"So there you have it. Unfortunate, but under the pressure of his hands, it does bend quite significantly," he said.
