The first Pink Floyd album in more than than two decades has been unveiled by the veteran rock band.

To mark the forthcoming release of The Endless River, images of the sleeve art were displayed in cities including London, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin and Milan. It is only the second Pink Floyd cover not conceived by the late Storm Thorgerson, with the only other being their 1967 debut Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.

The group has revisited mainly instrumental songs originally written and recorded by the trio of David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason during sessions for 1993 album The Division Bell, but have now been overhauled. Keyboard player Wright died of cancer in 2008.

"With Rick gone, and with him the chance of ever doing it again, it feels right that these revisited and reworked tracks should be made available as part of our repertoire," Gilmour said.

The album will be released on November 10 in a range of formats.
