A former Germany international goalkeeper claims he has been offered a contract to become a wrestler with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Since being released by Bundesliga club Hoffenheim in January, Tim Wiese has become a prominent bodybuilder and now reportedly weighs over 250lb.

And it seems the 32-year-old's dramatic transformation has caught the attention of WWE officials.

"I have an official enquiry from the WWE," Wiese told German tabloid Bild.

"It's about working for them as a wrestler. I will listen.

"I don't s*** my pants. Why should I immediately say no? Wrestling is very popular, especially in the States. I will go through the enquiry with my agent next week."

If he accepts a contract, Wiese would spend a year training in Florida before making the step up to join the main roster.

Wiese played for FC Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen before signing for Hoffenheim in 2012.

He has won six caps for Germany, and was part of his country's 2010 World Cup squad.
