Italian Andrea Faustini wows with 'best ever X Factor audition'
Italian Andrea Faustini is set to be one of this year's X Factor favourites after Simon Cowell told him he got one of the best audience reactions he had ever seen.
The 20-year-old, who travelled all the way from Rome to try and win a place in this year's show, wowed the crowd with his version of Otis Redding's Try A Little Tenderness and sailed through to the next round.
Louis Walsh told him: "You are the reason we do this show." While Simon added: "That's one of the best audience reactions we've ever had."
Nerves got the better of fitness trainer Kayleigh Manners, but the judges still put her through after she performed a second song with Cheryl telling her: "You've really got the potential to be something special."
Ex-Navy man Jay James had no problem impressing the judges or the audience with his version of Coldplay's Fix You.
Call centre worker Stevi Ritchie wasn't so lucky and was met by silence from the crowd when he first came on stage.
But as soon as he started singing Queen's Don't Stop Me Now they were on their feet and he had the judges in fits of giggles when he took his jacket off and swung it around before showing off some rather unusual dance moves.
Putting him through to the next round, Simon Cowell said: "I actually would have said no, but Stevi you know the audience has spoken."
