One of this year's X Factor favourites Amy Connelly crashed out of the competition tonight after failing to impress the judges at Wembley Stadium.

Amy, who got through to judges' houses in Cheryl's group six years ago, had the crowd cheering with her version of Whitney Houston's Greatest Love Of All.

But she only got a yes from Cheryl after Mel B branded it "just nice" and Louis Walsh told her: "I thought it was too karaoke."

A tearful Cheryl took to the stage to comfort the 24-year-old betting shop assistant from Essex, telling her: "I'm proud of you, please don't cry."

One person not impressing Cheryl tonight was her 'lookalike' Jale Antor, who turned up for the next round with her own version of the singer's infamous rose tattoo.

The former Girls Aloud star said the real thing, which covers her buttocks and lower back, took 55 hours and cost thousands of pounds.

More successful acts included Essex teenager James Graham who wowed the judges with take on Adele's version on I Can't Make You Love Me.
