From Heathrow to Istanbul: 'Supermoon' lights up the night sky

A 'supermoon' has lit up the night sky for a third time this summer, with images coming in from around the globe.

The phenomenon occurs when the moon is full and at the point of its orbit that brings it closest to the Earth.

'Supermoons' have also been seen early in July and August
