Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington has tied the knot with fellow swimmer Harry Needs.

Adlington, who called her new husband "the love of my life," revealed how her stint on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! helped get her into shape for the big day.

She told Hello! magazine: "I lost nearly two stone in the jungle and perhaps another four or five pounds since then. So it was a great kick start, and I feel better for it.

"But I don't like it when people assume you're really happy because you're thin.

"I'm not suddenly confident because I have lost weight, I'm happy because I'm marrying the love of my life."

Adlington, who won two golds at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and two bronze medals at London 2012, appeared on ITV's I'm A Celebrity last year.

She married Needs at rural wedding venue The Ashes in the Staffordshire countryside and wore a Stewart Parvin dress for the ceremony, for which the couple wrote their own vows.

Needs added, "I compliment her every single day, because to me she is the most beautiful woman in the world."
