Gold-medal winning swimmer appeals to find five-year-old fan who wrote letter
A member of Team Scotland's triumphant Commonwealth Games has appealed for help in finding a young fan who wrote to him following his medal-winning performances.
Swimmer Ross Murdoch was sent a letter by a five-year-old boy called Brian, following his gold in the 200 metres breaststroke and bronze in the 100m breaststroke at the Games.
The letter was delivered to his parents' home in West Dunbartonshire despite the envelope being addressed to "Ross Murdoch, Commonwealth Champion, Balloch".
He has now asked his 1,787 followers to track down the youngster so he can show him around his training venue.
He previously thanked Royal Mail for ensuring the letter's arrival.
"Parents received some fan mail today. Great @RoyalMail for getting it to the proper destination! #Cute #GoodJob," he wrote on Twitter.
