'Birdman' breaks record for longest unassisted flight
Daredevil Ron Freeman is a real-life birdman after beating the record for the longest unassisted flight.
Mr Freeman soared 159.8 metres in the Worthing International Birdman competition on Saturday beating his 141.5 metre record set at the event last year, organisers said.
The reigning champion, who flew to victory on an adapted hang glider, is now on course to land the £10,000 top prize.
To win Mr Freeman from Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland, needs another good run today.
