Typical festival weather for Glastonbury in the coming few days. Showers are more prolonged, intense downpours. It looks like we are going to have to wait until the weekend for things to slowly improve.

We have had a deluge already today making things incredibly muddy, and that wet weather swings its way to towards eastwards towards Wimbledon in the next 24 hours.

Weather presenter Lucy Verasamy has the latest:

Behind this there will be further scattered showers on and off across the West Country. They are generally hit and miss where it stays dry in the next couple of days. There will be spells of sunshine, but I don't know if there will be enough sunshine for the mud to dry out completely. Things are looking soggy for the time being at least.
