McFly's Tom Fletcher wins Celebrity Dad of the Year

McFly star Tom Fletcher has won Celebrity Dad of the Year, beating Simon Cowell to the title.

The X Factor mogul was among the stars shortlisted for the accolade, but lost out to the 28-year-old singer-songwriter in a public vote.

Fletcher - who became a father to son Buzz Michelangelo in March this year - won many plaudits for his doting posts about his son on social media.

He famously documented single day of his wife Giovanna's pregnancy in while serenading her bump in a touching time-lapse video.

He takes the title from Olympic medallist Mo Farah.

His video My Wedding Speech, where he sings on his wedding day instead of giving a speech, was one of the most watched YouTube videos in the UK last year.
