Tesco, Britain's biggest retailer, announced another fall in profits today. They're down 6 percent compared to this time last year.

Budget supermakets have hit Tesco's market share which is now at its lowest for ten years.

The retailer and grocery giant faces an unwanted hat-trick of annual declines as it admitted profits were expected to fall again for the current financial year, and there is growing disquiet among some in the City over the chief executive's leadership.
