A University student has been dubbed the 'worst Wheel of Fortune contestant of all time' after losing out on a potential $1 million (£600,000) prize with some cringe-inducing guesses.

Julian Batts, an honours student at Indiana University, had three stabs at big prizes on the game show, though remarkably he still managed to win the show overall.

The first - and surely the most embarrassing - mistake was his failure to correctly pronounce an answer that was already fully revealed.

Two more failed attempts were to follow, with a car and a trip to Jamaica also falling from his grasp.
