Paralympic gold medallist and TOWIE star make Splash! final
Paralympic gold medallist Richard Whitehead has booked his place in the Splash! final and The Only Way is Essex star Dan Osborne will join in after winning the splash-off.
However, it was a dramatic night on the ITV show after former England rugby international Austin Healey was forced to withdraw from the competition because of injury.
TOWIE star Dan Osborne beat presenter Anna Williamson in the splash-off to book his place in the final.
He later expressed his gratitude to everyone who voted on Twitter:
Healey was set to appear in tonight's semi-final but hosts Gabby Logan, Vernon Kay and Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley explained that Healey was "immediately taken to hospital" when he injured himself in rehearsals.
He posted a picture of himself on Twitter in a neck brace, but later revealed that he had received good news about his injury.
Upon hearing the vote, Whitehead said he was "lost for words" after topping the leader board and the public vote.
Whitehead and Osborne will join Diversity street dancer Perri Kiely and Boyzone singer Keith Duffy in the Splash! final next Saturday.
