The winners of the 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards have been announced, with Dame Maggie Smith scooping the gong for best actress in a TV drama series for her portrayal of Lady Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham, in ITV's Downton Abbey.

Helen Mirren won the award for best female actor in a television movie or miniseries for Phil Spector.
The veteran British star made a typically light-hearted acceptance speech, joking that she didn't "feel saggy" after winning the gong, and declaring her male statue trophy "sexy".
