ITV's Text Santa: Highlights of £4.2m charity fundraiser

Proceeds from this year's ITV's Text Santa appeal have reached £4.2 million after a star-studded three-hour live show.

The Pogues classic Fairytale of New York is given a Coronation Street makeover:

One hundred percent of donated funds directly benefit this year's six chosen charities, Age UK, Barnardo's, BeatBullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices.

Robbie Williams performs Dream a Little Dream:

In three years of fundraising, ITV viewers have donated £13.9 million to Text Santa.

X-Factor winners reunite in a performance for Text Santa:

The show opened with Robbie Williams playing Santa on his travelling sleigh, followed by 200 dancers, marching bands, fire eaters, stilt walkers, choirs and bell ringers.

Emmerdale's Text Santa special sketch:

The singer later performed Dream a Little Dream, while his former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow wowed the audience with his rendition of ‘We Like To Love’.

Cheryl Cole auditions for a new friend on Coronation Street:

Former X-Factor contestant Olly Murs performed White Christmas and McFly played out the show with Santa Claus is coming To Town.

Cheryl Cole and The Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan popped into the Rovers Return for cameos with the Coronation Street cast, while Prime Minister David Cameron was grilled by Little Ant and Dec.
