Queen treads the boards in wartime royal pantos
Photographs of the Queen starring in four royal pantomimes as a teenager are expected to fetch thousands of pounds at auction.
The series images, which also feature the late Princess Margaret, show the sisters on stage at Windsor in Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin and Old Mother Red Riding Boots.
Rupert Evelyn reports:
The collection of photographs, taken between 1940 and 1944 during the war, was compiled by actor Cyril Woods, who also performed on stage with the young princesses.
The collection is being sold by Dominic Winter Auctioneers in Gloucestershire.
