Satellite images of Philippines before and after typhoon show extent of devastation
Satellite images of Tacloban in the central Philippines taken before and after the typhoon show how the city has been transformed.
Piers and harbours have disappeared, coastal buildings have been flattened and some boats appear to have been dumped on land.
Google, who produced the images with satellite image firm DigitalGlobe, said that large parts of the country could not be compared since they are still covered by clouds.
