The dramatic rescue of injured guests at a Tacloban hotel has been captured on video.

Mattresses were used as makeshift rafts to move the people to safety at the height of Typhoon Haiyan.

At one point the cameraman fears they may be electrocuted saying "I can feel electricity in the water".

In a second video, the cameraman also captures the ferocity of the typhoon and how the storm surge swept through his hotel.
