This Morning celebrates 25 years at helm of daytime TV
This Morning is marking its 25th anniversary with a return to where the show began - Liverpool's Albert Docks.
Presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langford and even Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan made the journey to Liverpool for today's special show.
ITV's daytime institution began on 3 October 1988 with Richard and Judy at the helm.
Today they returned to the This Morning sofa for the first time since their departure in 2001 for a special live programme.
Asked how they felt as the very first show began, the married couple said they were "terrified".
Richard continued, "It was a really big deal for ITV, you know, this was a big new commission and everyone said this would be off air by Christmas."
Eamonn, who presented the show with his future wife Ruth for a decade, said This Morning held special memories for him.
"I have worked with many leading ladies but not with one I love and then married! And so for me, that will always rank as why This Morning is special because I do it with the woman I love".
Ruth said that interviewing her heroes Barry White and Jeff Bridges were her highlights, while for Eamonn it was Dame Edna Everage's appearance.
Keith Lemon also resurrected the famous floating weather map, complete with models of Tower Bridge and a weather-themed woolly jumper.
The forecast was interrupted when a man jumped into the water and attempted to clamber aboard the map.
Celebrities took to Twitter to wish the show happy birthday, including some with memories from This Morning's legacy so far:
