The X Factor hopefuls sang their hearts out in front of an audience of thousands at Wembley Arena.

White van driver, Shelley Smith was the first to take to the stage. After her last audition, she said she got covered in grease and went back to work in the van.

But this year she wowed the audience when she sang Feeling Good, the song made famous by Nina Simone.

Jade Richards came on stage next. She has auditioned before, and last year made it to the judges' houses audition stage. She sang Amy Winehouse's favourite Back To Black and went through to Boot Camp.

The Euphoria Girls got a yes vote from Sharon and Louis but it was no from Nicole and Gary and they were out.

When nervous Melanie McCabe came on stage she initially fluffed her lines. But she sang David Guetta's Titanium to land four thumbs up from the judges.

Next up was Barclay Beales, yodeling to One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful. He got a mixed reaction from the judges, but they voted him through to Boot Camp.

Although Relley was impressive in the first round of audition, nerves got the better of her.

The judges said they were disappointed, but they voted her in to the next round.

Abi Alton sang her own original number about heartbreak and captivated the audience, who gave her a standing ovation. And the judges gave her four yes votes.
