Director Peter Jackson shares last day of Hobbit filming on Facebook
Director Peter Jackson has wrapped up filming of his Hobbit trilogy and shared pictures of his last day on set with his Facebook fans.
He posted images of the film's stars behind the scenes at the end of what he said was: "15 years of Tolkien ... 771 days of shooting".
The New Zealand filmmaker provided a steady stream of updates and photos from the set of the final film, The Hobbit: There And Back Again.
The second film, The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, will be released in December, and the finale appears next year.
After filming the final shot, Jackson wrote: "Smiles and happiness... And sadness. Yikes, very sad."
