The Duchess of Cambridge made a handful of public appearances in the early days of her pregnancy as she battled severe morning sickness, but in her middle trimester Kate carried out a number of engagements, appearing happy and healthy as she approached the arrival of her first baby.
In the six and a half months following the announcement of her pregnancy in December 2012, Kate carried out 19 days of public engagements before going on maternity leave in the middle of June.
