Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's a life-sized, radio-controlled model of Superman soaring through the skies of southern California.

And it's not just the red-caped superhero you might see flying. A small start-up company will make any radio-controlled plane to look like your favourite comic book character.

According to their website: "If you can imagine it, we can make it fly."

But designer and engineer Otto Dieffenbach said the company does not retail the product because "they are so custom-built and there are a lot of man hours that go into construction."
