A range of fine bone china pieces have been launched to celebrate the arrival of the royal baby.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their first child in a few weeks time and people wanting to commemorate the new prince or princess can choose from a host of gifts crafted by Royal Crown Derby.

The Royal Baby Collection includes a celebratory rocking horse, photo frame, and nursery box.

The rocking horse, which is a limited edition piece of 750 and costs £145, has been described by designers as "perfect as a gift for a new baby or Christening present".

The round nursery box and photo frame, which cost £115 and £125 respectively, are embellished with a multi-coloured toy inspired pattern inside a congratulatory bunting border.

Finished with 22 carat gold detailing, each piece features subtle royal motifs such as acorns and crowns that are woven into the design to symbolise the new prince or princess.

The nursery box and rocking horse will also be available as commemorative pieces following the birth when the final details relating to birth date and name will be added to the pieces.

As well as this collection there will also be a range of commemorative pieces such as the Royal Crown Derby Loving Cup, five Petal Tray, Heart Tray, and paperweights.
