Australian PM's anger over "sexist" menu jibe

Australia's Prime Minister Julia Gillard has accused the opposition of being sexist in a row over a menu.

A dish at an opposition fundraising dinner was described as: "Julia Gillard Kentucky fried Quail - Small Breasts, Huge Thighs."

The Leader of the Australian Labor Party said the menu was grossly sexist and offensive, adding: "This is Tony Abbott's Liberals. This is what they're like."

Opposition leader Tony Abbott condemned the menu. He said: "I think we should all be bigger and better than that."

Australia is due to go to the polls in a federal election in September.

Opposition Finance Spokesman Joe Hockey said politicians should treat each other with respect but added that Julia Gillard had described him as "fat" in parliament.
