David Walliams and Lara Stone announce birth of baby boy
Britain's Got Talent star David Walliams and his wife Lara Stone have announced the birth of a baby boy.
A spokeswoman for Ms Stone, a 29-year-old Dutch fashion model, said: "We can confirm they have had a baby boy."
Walliams took to Twitter to thank friends, including his on-screen boss, for the congratulatory messages and gifts.
Britain's Got Talent co-star Amanda Holden and model Teresa Baca were among the other well-wishers.
The couple married three years ago in London having met in 2009.
The Britain's Got Talent star announced that the couple were expecting their first child on Twitter in November.
Mr Walliams, who found fame on BBC comedy show Little Britain, expressed his excitement at the impending arrival of his first child in a recent interview with Alan Carr.
"I'm really excited about it because I've been writing children's books and you get to that age when a lot of your friends have kids and you start thinking, 'When's it going to happen to me?"'
The 41-year-old said that the couple were "going to go with a normal name" as there is a "bit of a curse if you're called Apple or Peaches or something like that".
