Could Harlem Shake be the new Gangnam Style?

Move over Gangnam Style, there is a new viral video in town and it is called the Harlem Shake.

The dance has taken the web by storm, with millions of people watching clips on YouTube and sharing videos on Reddit.

Each 30 second video starts with one dancer slowly nodding their head to Baauer's dance song, before the scene suddenly shows the performers strutting their best moves.

A version of the dance by a group of Norwegian soldiers is one of the most popular clips.

The cast members of American show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon have also joined the craze by posting their effort online.
