Police release CCTV footage to try to catch 'ginger attacker'

Police have released CCTV footage to try and catch an attacker who is thought to have punched a man in the face because he had ginger hair.

Twenty-three-year-old Alex Kosuth-Phillips said he was targeted by the man, who called him a "ginger pr**k".

Alex was on a night out with his girlfriend, celebrating his birthday, when he was punched, causing his jaw to snap in half.

He had to live off coleslaw and mashed potato for three months, losing two stone after the attack.

He said he still suffers pain from the injury.

This week he watched the footage from the attack for the first time since it happened last February.

West Midlands Police released still images of the attack last year, but so far no arrests have been made.

Officers are now urging anyone who recognises the man to come forward.
