Torrential rain expected to batter South West England, South Wales and South West Scotland

Torrential rain expected in South West England, South Wales and South West Scotland today.

The Environment Agency have issued more than 80 flood warnings across the UK.

Amber Warnings in Central, Tayside & Fife, Highlands & Eilean Siar, SW Scotland, Lothian Borders, South West England, Strathclyde, Wales, West Midlands.

Further flooding, disruption expected on the roads and rail.

Heavy rain, saturated ground and leaves blocking many drains are causing problems on many roads.

We're expecting 20-40mm of rain, possibly 60mm on upslopes and wind gust 60-70mph, which is gales to severe gales.
