Collection of Captains boldly go to London Star Trek convention
All five Star Trek captains have appeared together for the first time at the 'Destination Star Trek London' convention.
William Shatner, Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks and Scott Bakula, were today also joined by Sir Patrick Stewart, completing the Star Trek captains collection.
William Shatner, the original captain of the Starship Enterprise James T Kirk has spoken about his fondness for conventions and meeting fans, saying, "I enjoy it on a broad scale, it's sort of monumental in its way."
As well as a chance to see their heroes visitors have been making the most of the opportunity to don Star Trek costumes.
A bride and groom used the convention to boldly go where no couple have gone before.
Josefin Sockertopp, 23, and Sonnie Gustavsson, 29, tied the knot at the UK's first Klingon wedding.
The pair travelled from Sweden to take part in the unusual ceremony at the first official Star Trek convention to be held in Britain for over a decade.
They exchanged vows, swearing to unite against all their opponents, before Peter Whyllie, who conducted the wedding, concluded proceedings with a cry of "yIn, batIh, Qapla'!", which translates as life, honour, success.
