Australian minister's forfeit after losing Olympics bet
Australia's Minister for Sport has done a humiliating forfeit in a Team GB kit after losing an Olympics bet.
Senator Kate Lundy wore the gear as she rowed the length of the Paralympic course at Eton Dorney, in Berkshire.
At the start of the Olympics Lundy had had a bet with the UK Sport and Olympics Minister Hugh Robertson that Australia would take home more medals than Team GB.
But she lost after Team GB won 65 medals, including 29 gold, while Australia got only 35 medals in total with seven gold.
As a forfeit she took to the water at Eton Dorney after the day's Paralympic rowing regatta.
People supported her as she used Australian oars with Union Flag stickers on them.
During her 1,000m row, John Farnham's The Voice, Land Of Hope And Glory and Rule Britannia was played.
Mr Robertson was ready at the finish line with champagne.
If Britain had ended up with fewer medals than Australia Mr Robertson had vowed to don Australian field hockey gear and dribble a ball around Australia House - the official government residence in the capital.
