Rare sight of nine waterspouts formed from two storms
Nine separate waterspouts have been formed from two storms over Lake Michigan in the United States.
Meteorologists say conditions were perfect for this type of vortex, a combination of cold and warm temperatures converging over the area, along with a line of storms.
Five of the waterspouts were caught on camera.
America's National Weather Service says a cold front hitting the lake could lead to even greater chances of more waterspouts forming.
