Man charged after streaking during Olympic Torch Relay
A man has been charged after streaking during the Olympic Torch Relay.
27-year-old Daniel Leer from Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire was arrested following the incident which happened as the flame was carried through his home town.
A naked man with Free Tibet written on his back ran a short distance close to the torch which was about to be taken by Sir Steve Redgrave on the River Thames.
Leer was released on bail and will appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court later this month.
Later, the torch was carried on a rowing boat along the River Thames by Sir Steve, a five-times Olympic rowing gold medallist, who travelled through Henley-on-Thames.
