Pride of Britain Awards: Fiona Phillips launches campaign to find inspirational heroes
Fiona Phillips will today launch the nomination stage of The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards.
Now in its 14th year, the awards recognises the achievements of every day people who have shown bravery and kindness to help others.
Hosted by Carol Vorderman, the awards attract an audience of around seven million viewers every year.
Past awards have been presented by guests include Prince Charles, Gordon Brown, Victoria and David Beckham, Tony Blair, Sir Paul McCartney, Bono, Bill Clinton, Dame Helen Mirren, Sir Richard Branson, Kylie Minogue and Simon Cowell.
