How will the police function after government cuts?

Three police forces, including the Met, may not be able to function properly because of government cuts, it has been claimed.

Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary said around 6,000 officers will be axed from the frontline in England and Wales.

Although the government insists services can be protected despite the reduced budgets.
