Russell Brand causes a stir at Rock of Ages premiere

Russell Brand lived up to his bad boy image at the Rock of Ages premiere in London's Leicester Square as he mocked a journalist's hand held camera before snatching it from him, running off with it before throwing it back.

The comedian lost his temper with other revellers in the crowd who heckled him, shouting that he looked like "Jesus" and "a homeless person".

Brand retorted: "I'd like to play Jesus, and wasn't he homeless for a while too?"

He appears alongside Tom Cruise who plays rock singer Stacee Jaxx in the film Rock of Ages, based on the stage musical.

The Mission:Impossible star insisted that learning to sing for the musical was just like working out for an action movie - just using a different set of muscles.
