Carina Trimingham loses Daily Mail privacy case
While the press standards inquiry was going on in one part of the Royal Courts of Justice, in another a judge was giving his ruling on a damages case against a newspaper.
He decided the partner of Chris Huhne, the former Energy secretary had not had her privacy invaded by the Daily Mail. Carina Trimingham said the paper's repeated references to her sexuality amounted to harassment.
The judge pointed out that as a former journalist MsTrimingham had herself sold information to newspapers about other people's sex lives.
