Dragons' Den star Hilary Devey 'raped aged 12'

Dragons' Den star Hilary Devey has revealed she was raped at the age of 12 but kept the attack secret for 43 years.The multi-millionaire said she she was sexually abused as a youngster by a man near her parents' pub in Lancashire.

She has spoken of the ordeal for the first time in her autobiography, which is being serialised in The Sun this week.

Mrs Devey wrote:

Mrs Devey built up a multi-million pound empire after launching her firm Pall-Ex in 1996, selling her car and home to fund it.

She joined the team of business gurus on television series Dragons' Den last year.
