Rebekah Brooks to appear at the Leveson Inquiry

Rebekah Brooks appears before a parliamentary committee on phone hacking

David Cameron faces more scrutiny at the Leveson Inquiry today as former News International Executive, and personal friend of the PM, Rebekah Brooks gives evidence.

Giving evidence yesterday David Cameron's former communications chief Andy Coulson said that Mr Cameron had a "family connection" with Ms Brooks.

Brooks is expected to face questions over her relationship with the Prime Minister as well as his predecessors.

Since she left News International there has been a series of revelations over her relationship with David Cameron including allegations in the Telegraph that they texted each other up to 15 times a day and claims in a new Cameron biography serialised in The Times that he texted her to 'keep your head up' shortly before she was forced to resign.

She will not be questioned about anything that could prejudice the continuing police investigation into phone hacking or any potential future trials.
