Google first in April Fools from across the web
Google have claimed the April Fool crown for the first story with a twist, with a new system to 'support Nintendo entertainment System (NES)'.
The company have said in a statement on a Google blog:
Users can today 'Start a Quest' to view the classic look maps in the style of the 1980s classic games console. Google has even ensured that Street View fits with their new look, with pictures looking distinctly retro.
Other April fools include The Sunday Mirror story featuring pictures supposedly showing Simon Cowell and David Walliams frolicking in a park.
The Sun is running a story about a new perfume from Arsenal - featuring the scent of the Emirates Stadium.
The Guardian are claiming that David Cameron has asked Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder as a special advisor on social class, including a photo gallery with stars advertising the new 'We're all eating this together' T-shirt campaign.
