Another Met resignation in phone hacking scandal
So Dick Fedorcio has gone the way of John Yates and Sir Paul Stephenson.
All senior figures at the Metropolitan police who have resigned, caught up in the phone hacking story and everything that came after.
Mr Fedorcio was, it's been revealed, about to face charges on gross misconduct so he's gone before they can get him.
The big question is if he will still get his full pension. The Met won't say at the moment.
Mr Fedorcio was another symbol of the close relationship between the Met and News International. He was about to face this internal investigation after ex News of the World man Neil Wallis was given a £24 000 contract for providing press advice.
And, of course, he is also the man who helped arrange the loan of the retired police horse for Rebekah Brooks.
