Love Island

Jon & Hannah: Love Island's love story

Throughout the entirety of Love Island, only one couple stayed solid throughout.

(Well, it could be argued Jonathan did have some difficulty in that area, but... no, we won't go there.)

Jon and Hannah coupled up on Day 1, and remained true to each other throughout. No pies thrown between these two! Not that they haven't had their fair share of drama - so let's go back to the start and remind ourselves of the highs and lows. This is Hannah & Jonathan: the story so far...

Once upon a time, a group of hunks were paraded in front of a selection of sexy single ladies. All very romantic, this.

Hannah, our Playboy princess from the 'Pool, had just one gentleman step forward to partner with her - a builder from Essex and talker for England, Jonathan. It was destined from the start.

Jonathan found some rather unorthodox plus points in Hannah.

And his compliments were pretty odd. But they seemed to go down well with Hannah...

It wasn't long before they sealed the deal. Officially an item, they quickly consummated their relationship. And no, we will not be illustrating this particular moment with an image. You're filth, you are.

Love Island had found some actual love! Which is a relief cos 'Island' just isn't as catchy a title for an ITV2 show.

Unfortunately, the relationship hit a rocky patch, when Jonathan let Naomi run her fingers through his hair. When you see it written down, it all sounds rather lame, doesn't it? But not from where Hannah was standing, oh no.

Tears were shed, voices were raised, doors were punched, and it looked like the dream might have been over.

....But thankfully, they patched it up. A quick follicle-fondling can't get in the path of true love. And the newly-reunited pair even survived a supermarket trip together. There's married couples that still can't manage that without arguing. Just don't mention the lechy shop-keeper.

And then came the declaration of love. Well actually, there was a slightly weirder declaration than the usual three words... Jon said Hannah made him feel like a rainbow. Oh yeah, and a unicorn.

And the compliments just kept on coming...

They even began co-ordinating their outfits - something we assumed was only done by elderly Dutch couples who wear matching tracksuits on a city break. It MUST be love!

Unfortunately, Hannah's wild side during the girls' night in didn't go down too well with Jon, resulting in quite the monologue:

(That's an actual word-for-word quote, by the way.)

Luckily, Hannah didn't let it faze her...

But nothing gets in the way of true love, and our perfect pair worked their way through it. Just as they did when Jon had, shall we say, some performance problems. In the heart-shaped world of Hannathan, nothing shall stand in their way.

So when Jon met Hannah's folks, something many of us would find daunting, it was a total breeze.

...apart from the bits where he got his future father-in-law's name wrong.

They're in love. They've consummated the relationship. They've fought. They've gotten past it. They've met each others' families...

OH. And they've got engaged.

It's enough to make us all feel like a unicorn!

BLESS. Excuse us while we dab our eyes with a tissue... must be hayfever or something. Hannah and Jonathan may not have won Love Island but it definitely feels like a happy ending is on the cards for these two...
