9 things we learnt on day 21
Sometimes life in paradise comes at a high price. Letting her guard down with Danny backfired for poor Yewande, who was left questioning her place in the villa after he continued to crack on with Arabella. But after a shaky night, the scientist had her game face back on and was ready for another day. Elsewhere Tom and Maura looked to be getting closer, but news of a night in the Hideaway for the pair went to Tom's head and a comment about the Irish beauty landed him in hot water before the Hideaway door was even unlocked. Here's what we learnt.
1. Girls will talk
Ohhhh Danny. While it’s nice having two girls grafting you, you can’t spin them two different tales and not expect it to travel across the villa. Yewande wasted no time in pulling him up for his ahem… ‘unique’ cracking on strategy, and the model was left looking a little sheepish when the rest of the Islanders backed her up. It all made for a very long and lonely night for Danny on the outside bed.
2. Amber is the friend we all need in our lives
If you need a self-empowerment chat, Amber and Anna really make a killer sisterhood combo. Our favourite straight-talking Geordie told an upset Yewande: “Stop getting upset, go to sleep, take your lashes off, wake up fresh, come and talk to us again if you need to hear that you’re a bad b**** one more time, I’m more than happy to tell you.”
YES GIRL.
3. The number seven is really causing scenes
Curtis learned the hard way that rating your half girlfriend a seven for her kissing skills will land you in trouble. But for Tom it was the magic number to get him a perfect 10/10 snog with Maura on the roof terrace. Reflecting on the challenge, he asked her: “What did I give you? A seven? I’d like to revise it,” to which she responded: “You can.”
Never missing a beat, he went in with his winning line: “Well, rate this,” before planting a very confident kiss on Maura’s lips.
Smooth.
4. The roof terrace may hide your antics from the rest of the villa, but your lipstick won’t
After returning from the terrace beaming, having secured a VERY hot snog from Tom, Maura was rumbled in a matter of seconds by the ultra observant Molly-Mae. “Where’s your lipstick?” she asked, eyes gleaming.
There are no flies on this hun.
5. Amy and Curtis returned from their date with a spring in their (quick)step
After a romantic moonlight date away from the villa, half girlfriend and boyfriend, half dancing partners Curtis and Amy couldn’t wait to share their new dance routine with the Islanders when they got back, and their pals were LIVING for their saucy rendition of the rumba.
6. Challenges now provide one of your five a day
Not a hare out of place for our buff babes who made for a very good looking group of rabbits… until we made them chomp, gulp and nibble their way through a selection of rabbit food… while exercising at the same time.
Just think of all the nutrients, ladies
7. Three As are our new favourite judging panel
Step aside, Simon Cowell. Amber, Anna and Amy will see you now.
8. Michael is a walking reaction
That is all.
9. The Hideaway didn’t go to plan for Tom
Promise of a dreamy night in the Hideaway with Maura turned into a nightmare for Tom when he got a little too ahead of himself and made a comment to the lads which seemed to have all but scuppered his chances of a cosy night alone with the Irish beauty. Oops...
