9 things we learnt on day 10
The arrival of new girls Maura and Elma had the girls shook and emotions were running high all over day 10. From Amy's confidence crisis, to the girls' steely reception of our bombshells, it's lucky we had sensible Curtis to keep things on track. Four lucky boys were picked to go on dinner dates and had their skills in the kitchen - and their loyalties - tested...
Here's what we learnt.
1. Find a man that makes you smile as much as Danny makes Yewande smile
Can’t. Cope. With. This. Cuteness.
2. Anton’s figured out that sometimes you can say too much
We *think* Anton was trying to make sure Anna knew he would have her back in a recoupling, but it didn’t quite go to plan when he basically told her that she was his second choice option because he's getting nothing from Molly-Mae.
“I want someone that’s attracted to me from the beginning. That’s what I want and I’m not settling for less,” Anna stated in the Beach Hut. Despite Anna very maturely brushing it off, Amber and Michael decided the Scot needed a talking to regardless.
*penny drops*
3. Queen Amy’s not ready to hand over her crown
The villa’s power couple were in threat of having their thunder stolen when Jucie made themselves exclusive on the same day as Curmy. And while Curtis didn’t seem bothered in the slightest, Amy made it clear that she was in no way up for sharing the limelight.
4. Catching feels is scary
Everyone has off days, but when you're coupled up with the human embodiment of sunshine it can be hard to handle.
After a very minor disagreement, it all got a bit much for our Amy, who tearfully revealed she felt like she was messing up her relationship with Curtis.
"I feel really out of my depth with this whole situation with him. I like him so much, and I’ve never met anyone like him. I feel like I’m gonna f**** ruin it," she told Molly-Mae and Amber before bed.
"I just feel really out of my depth, I don’t know how to play it. It’s a big deal to me."
5. All hail King Curtis
After a good night's sleep a refreshed Amy tried to clear the air with Joe and Lucie after falling out over the amount of time the surfer spends with her bae.
"I got in a bit of a funk and I couldn’t get out of it," Amy explained to a rather frosty audience. "Obviously Curtis is the best person in the world who rationalises everything as it happens," she continued, to which Joe replied: "He is the greatest man I’ve ever met."
THE MAN CAN DO NO WRONG.
6. There’s nothing like news of two arrivals to make the ladies territorial
Maura and Elma had barely stepped off the plane, let alone set foot in the villa and we could already hear the sound of beautiful toes being crushed. As news of the bombshells' arrival was dropped via text, the girls in the villa practically circled around their men.
"Look at you getting excited! They might not even pick you!" Amber shrieked at Michael, while Molly-Mae was just as subtle with her feelings about the situation. "I've never seen a hot girl called Maura and I’ve never seen a hot girl called Elma," she told Lucie.
Until now...
7. Dishy dates gave cooking up a storm a whole new meaning
We. Were. Not. Ready. For. This. Fire.
8. The Roof Terrace of Truth shall set you free... but first it will make you very jealous
Our new arrivals had said nothing more than 'Hi' to the boys when explosions could be heard from the roof, where all the girls were stood powerless as Elma and Maura made moves on their men. "Alright confident s****," remarked an unimpressed Amber.
Would you like some ketchup to go with that serving of sass, girls?
9. We're not sure Tommy quite understands the term 'cooking'
It must be the real deal if Maura still fancied Tommy after he served her... this*.
*Any ideas what this is? No? Us neither.
