Mehdi and Whitney’s goodbye chat was everything

From tandem bike dates to terrace kisses, this couple have been a pair of cuties on a sweet slow burn.

Even with a couple of bumps, they kept it 100 night after night, and their goodbye chat did not disappoint, giving us all the feels - and giving them closure.

‘I’m really sad,’ said Whitney as they sat down together in the garden.

‘I know,’ he replied, adding: 'I feel like we were getting there.’

It takes a gracious guy to let his girl crack on, but Mehdi reassured Whitney: ‘My time has come. You’re here to find love, go for it.’

As they held hands, he continued: ‘Don’t be sad, because you never know when is the last time you get to be here.’

‘Enjoy your friends and enjoy whoever walks in. But I’ll miss you so much!’ he smiled, adding: ‘Don’t be sad.’

‘Are you ok?’ Whitney said.

‘I am,’ he said. ‘I’m sad because I’m not leaving because I’m single so that’s hard. We were together and we were getting there.’

‘Maybe it wasn’t going to work, we don’t know, but at least we tried.’

‘Am I invited to France?’ Whitney asked, to which Mehdi replied: ‘You can come to France obviously.’

Never one to miss a beat, Whitney replied: 'Yeah but am I invited to France with you?’

'You are invited to France with me, of course. But think about you first, here,’ Mehdi advised.

The pair shared a big hug as he said: ‘Don’t worry, you’ve got this,’ before telling her: ‘I’m sad to be separated from you.'

'But I’m not upset. I’m grateful.’
